Maritza Maribel's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy groceries to prepare meals.

Maritza Maribel's story

Maritza Maribel and her family live in the town of Puerto Lopez, a place with beautiful beaches and much-visited tourist attractions. The beaches are now deserted due to the emergency caused by Covid 19.

She is a hard-working woman who is seeking the way to earn a living and so get ahead, and despite the difficult situation of the pandemic she has not given up. She earns a living making and selling empanadas and corviches (fritters made with plantains and fish). She prepares them in her home and sells them to take away, both raw and cooked.

Her sales have decreased as, before, she used to make sales at weekends to tourists who arrived to the place, but her business has not improved much as there are still restrictions for people visiting beaches which still affects her work. This is why the little that she makes does not extend to extra expenses.

This loan is to buy groceries to prepare meals, she hopes to continue counting on support from loans.
