Bella Lucero Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to supply her clothing store with new and used clothing, and to buy the ingredients for traditional desserts, such as arroz en leche, cajeta, and requesón, that she makes for sale.

Bella Lucero Group's story

Get to know the “Bella Lucero" communal association of Pro Mujer in Managua, Nicaragua. Ten clients work in solidarity to supply their businesses, ranging from selling carbonated drinks, soft drinks, fast food, clothing, loofahs, etc.

Arlen Esther (in the center, with the yellow apron) is 40 years old and is the president. She loves to work. She's a woman with strong character, which has enabled her to lead the group. She is the single mother of 8 children, one of whom attends university.

Arlen is admirable. She's given all and taken risks to give a dignified life to her children. By necessity, for 15 years, she's lived in green areas owned by the state.

"My goal is to see my children triumph, principally in their studies that have their own professional work," she says, as she did not have this opportunity when young. She needs a loan to supply her store with used and new clothing, and to buy the ingredients for the traditional desserts, such as arroz en leche [rice pudding], cajeta [a type of dulce de leche], and requesón [similar to ricotta], that she makes for sale.

Give an opportunity to these independent and hard-working women.
