Daniel's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Daniel's Group's story

Pictured above is Daniel, often described as an extremely experienced farmer. He is 54 years old and has five children. As a group leader, he is representing his group of 16 farmers in Alego District, Kenya.

Daniel is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again as this means that he is able to have access to quality training and acquire new farming methods, which is why he decided to join in the first place. Daniel says that he is happy to have made that decision because, since he first joined in 2017, he has been able to consistently feed his family, which has improved his day-to-day life significantly. Daniel will use the profits from this season to rent more land to cultivate.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of 12 acres. Given that one member of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of one solar light.
