Alvaro Antonio's story
Alvaro Antonio is a 60-year-old micro-entrepreneur living in the city of Barranquilla. His business is maintenance and repairs of motor vehicles, with more than 30 years of experience and operation in the area. He offers the service of maintenance, repair, and sale of vehicles. His business idea arose since he was very young as he worked in the maintenance, repair and sale of automobiles. 20 years ago he decided to become independent after having worked for a long time with his father who taught him what is to today to be a caring and organized human being. Alvaro Antonio's clients are people from the sector and the surrounding area. Due to the Covid -19 pandemic that occurred worldwide, his work level deteriorated due to biosafety issues and his cash flow decreased drastically. For this reason he joined the Barranquilla Responde Program to request his first loan with the Santo Domingo Foundation in order to invest in the purchase of a hydraulic press, hydraulic jack, lifting crane and portable drill.
