Palmis Eneji Sa's story
Palmis Enèji received its first loan from Kiva in May 2015. The social business enjoyed significant growth since 2016. As of October 2020, Palmis Enèji has equipped 56 000 Haitians with clean, efficient and sustainable cooking and lighting solutions. As all Haitian organizations, Palmis Enèji is going through a difficult time, as the country struggles with socio economic insecurity and political instability. However, the employees are extremely committed to their mission and proud to bring light and energy in these circumstances. Boosted by this purpose and drive, Palmis Enèji keeps increasing its business activities. In August 2020, it signed a partnership with a World Bank program with the objective to scale-up sales of solar lanterns. Palmis Enèji needs to raise an additional 50,000 USD loan in order to leverage the World Bank's support and import two new containers of high quality solar lanterns to significantly increase its number of beneficiaries.
