Adriana Beatriz's story

Adriana Beatriz and her partner have 2 young children, her partner works in a tent factory. They live together with his sister in San Agustín, which is a sector on the Tosagua Bahía de Caráquez road. People here primarily work in agriculture, raising animals and looking after shrimp pools.

Adriana Beatriz used to earn a living from raising and selling animals, but she now prepares and sells snacks every day from her home. She makes rice with beans accompanied with chicken, beef or roast pork, chops, and chicken wings. She sells these from the afternoons until the night when the preparations are finished.

At the weekends she sells disinfectant products on an itinerant basis, such as detergents, chlorines, alcohol, she also does this from home. At the start of the pandemic it was bad for her as she could not sell, but now she is starting again little by little so that she can continue generating an income.

This credit is for buying meats, and chicken wings. Her dream is to have a restaurant at home and for her business to continue growing.
