A loan helped to buy cheese and corn flour.

Miguel Arcangel Group's story

The members of the group Miguel Arcangel are from San Ignacio. They are united and stand in solidarity with each other. They work together and say they are satisfied and feel the support of the women's committee program that helps them in increasing their income and becoming more independent.

Blanca is one of the members and the group's treasurer. She is enterprising and hardworking, and despite her mobility limitations, a disability she has from birth, she never gave up.

She used to work selling chipas (cheese-flavored rolls) around her neighborhood. After suffering an accident she decided to stop this activity and started working for a teacher, looking after her child during the day. During the weekends, she works selling Paraguayan soup by order.

She requests the loan to buy cheese and corn flour to continue making Paraguayan soup and continue working.

Note: Though only one person is in the photo, this is a group loan. Due to the Covid19 pandemic and to avoid large gatherings, it was not possible to take a photo of the group.
