Amida is a 52-year-old mother of two children, ages 17 and 27. Her husband is a farmer. For the past 20 years, she has been selling food at stalls in her community.
Amida is the leader of the Duhugurane CB Group, which means “let’s advise each other” in English. The group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.
Amida will use her portion of the loan to buy more tomatoes, onions, and Irish potatoes to sell in her community. She plans to use her profits to expand her business and also buy a piece of land that she can use for farming.
