Florence

Florence is a single mother with two children, and she lives in Bundibugyo, Uganda. She operates a restaurant where she cooks and sells food as well as beer and sodas to local people in town. This is her major economic activity, which she started 40 years ago, and so far the profits are relatively good. She is hardworking and plans to expand the business, but faces competition and dishonest customers not paying cash on ordering food and drinks; this affects her profits.

Florence has requested a loan to buy more foodstuffs and beer for her restaurant in order to serve her customers better.
