Sagrada Familia Group's story

The group known as "Sagrada Familia" is in its cycle no. 7 in the women's committee program. It's in the city of San Pedro. They are in an urban area. They have all their basic needs met, but lack some improvements, that they are trying to go forward with in this time.

Leonida is one of the members who started a food sales business, selling regional specialties, such as sopa paraguaya [cheese cornbread], chipa [cheese bread rolls], pajagua [fried cassava patty], chicharo [breaded pork], empanadas [turnovers], etc., all typical foods in Paraguay, which she makes in her own house. Additionally, she says that she has a small sales post along the road, where she displays and sells her food, with the help of her spouse.

She's requesting this loan to buy the ingredients that she uses to make her products, such as meat, baked goods, vegetables, condiments, and other products.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. It wasn't possible to take a group photo due to the need to avoid a gathering of people because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
