Elizamer's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cereals such as corn and beans.

Elizamer's story

Elizamer is 66 years old and lives in Nandihills, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands that favor large-scale grain, dairy, and crop farming. She is a mixed farmer who has been farming for the past few years. In addition to farming, Elizamer earns additional income from selling cereals.

Elizamer requested a loan from Juhudi Kilimo, which she will use to buy cereals to sell and make more profit to support her family during this health crisis. This loan will be vital to achieve food security in her home during this period of global economic recession.

Unlike banks and other local moneylenders who operate mainly in urban centers, Juhudi Kilimo, a Kiva field partner, has extended its operations to the most remote areas of Kenya, thus creating opportunities for different people to access loans.
