A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase sales of organic milk and income from breeding livestock.

Gulzat's story

Gulzat is 48 years old, married, and has four children. She has a higher education, and her character is hardworking, ambitious, and enterprising. She is knowledgeable about running a farming business, and is able to invest funds as needed. Since 1993, she has been engaged in animal husbandry for her family's main source of income. Thanks to her persistent hard work and responsible approach to the business, she has managed to develop her farm to have 16 cows, 30 sheep, and 9 horses. She also has a 1.36 hectare plot of irrigated land on which she grows alfalfa.

In order to further develop her farm, she has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 165,000 som (KGS) to purchase dairy cows so that she can increase her sales of organic milk and income from breeding livestock. She intends to invest the funds from the loan in the further development of her farm.
