Emma's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more lappa (traditional Liberian cloth), tissue, bath soap, and toothpaste to sell.

Emma's story

Emma is a 39-year-old married mother of 2 kids who are in school and live at home. Emma attended school up to 7th grade. She sells lappa, tissue, bath soap, and toothpaste. She started to sell in order to help her husband at home. For the past 20 years, she has been operating her sales business and describes herself as a strong businesswoman. She sells Monday through Saturday.

Emma applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. With this loan, she will buy more lappa (traditional Liberian cloth), tissue, bath soap, and toothpaste to sell to her good customers. She likes her business because it takes care of her children.

In the future, Emma wants to build a house and send her children to school. She is highly grateful for the financial support rendered.
