Olga's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cost-efficient maize seeds and fertilizer for the coming season.

Olga's Group's story

Olga is the group leader who appears in the photo. She is presenting a group of five farmers from Alego District, Kenya. Olga is a mother to 12 children and is known in her community as a very friendly person.

She joined One Acre Fund in 2012 because she wanted to have access to quality training and acquire new farming methods. Since joining the program, Olga says that her life has improved, especially because she has been able to consistently feed her family. With the profits from her harvest, she plans to send her children to school.

Among the five farmers in Olga’s group, a total of 3.5 acres of land will be planted using the maize seeds and fertilizer received with the loan. Some of the members are purchasing a solar light, so the group will also receive a total of two solar lights with this loan.
