Rosina Ester's story

Rosina, 70, is a micro-entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience selling clothing and accessories. For more than 10 years, she has had a variety store in her home, in which she sells clothing, footwear, and accessories.

Previously, she sold catalog products, but she gradually increased her clientele by selling garments she made. She then started a variety store in her home, which she still operates by order and especially at the end of the year. She displays and sells her garments in her business, in which she accepts cash and credit. She managed to raise her family by working Mondays through Sundays, and now she sees the fruits of her sacrifice. She is separated, with three children from her marriage, and she has lived in the family home for over 35 years.

Currently, she has joined the "Barranquilla Responds" program to request a Kiva loan, which she will use to expand her purchases and stock up on merchandise such as blouses, pants, dresses, shirts, sweaters, and children's clothing. The coming months are a season of increasing and high demand because of the holidays, despite the post-COVID-19 situation. Please support her loan so that she can be a success.
