Fidelma Monserrate's story

Fidelma Monserrate is in a common-law relationship from which she has four children, all adults. They live in Jipijapa, a very pretty canton in Manabí where the people are very friendly and hardworking, but that also has suffered the ravages of the harsh Covid-19 pandemic.

She's a determined woman who has always liked to work and help her partner get ahead with her income, and more so since the arrival of this pandemic that has been hard for so many people.

She used to work selling various products but now she only sells shoes and, with her partner, who has a store, where they sell wood and Gadua bamboo, which is used in home construction. They had very good sales before the health crisis but with this situation sales fell a lot for a time. Things are getting better now and she hopes it continues that way.
