Grupo Musa Mozonte Group's story

Xiomara is 44 years old, the mother of three children, and a businesswoman. For the past 22 years, she has worked making and selling handicrafts. She also has other income from the production and sale of bread and nacatamales and from the garden she has on the patio of her house.

She is again requesting a loan from Fundenuse with Kiva funds to buy craft foam, silicon, white glue, fabric, colored paper, thread, wire, corn, wheat flour, paint, ceramic, and various products to create her products.

The result of having invested her previous loan was very positive, as she was able to keep working during the loan cycle and reinvest in her business. Her commercial goal is to set up a shop in the center of the place she lives. In the future, she hopes to be financially stable in order to set up her business well.

She belongs to the solidarity group “Musa Mozonte” along with Rubenia who makes and sells nacatamales, secondhand clothes, and is an elementary school teacher; Noelia who who makes nacatamales, sells cosmetics and
patio products that she puts together herself in her house; and Sandra who makes nacatamales, tortillas, ground coffee, and sells fresh eggs because she has 20 laying hens.
