A loan helped to buy mulberry bark for her business.

Paea's story

Paea sends her greetings. She is 27 years old, married, and has four children. She and her family live in their own home, which is a small iron hut that is situated along a main road. Despite not doing well in high school, Paea manages to run a business and generate income for her family. She is part of a group of women who gather together to make tapas [traditional cloth]. Paea and her family benefit from this business. She also practices at designing tapas and has become very good at it.

Paea used to make tapas with her sister, mother, and in-laws, but they chose not to continue, which is why she joined another group. Her business continues to do well. Paea also sells soft tapa to sell to earn money for her family. Her business is running very smoothly, so she is requesting another loan to buy mulberry bark so that she can continue her business.

Paea believes that one day her family will live in a beautiful house where her children can grow up in a more secure environment.
