A loan helped upgrade our equipment and grow our small business.

Jason's story

They say “a picture is worth 1000 words” and the journey I have had thus far is a bitter sweet learning experience in itself. From the time of starting Life Line Clothing Incorporated in 1998 with my neighbor/friend/brother Rigoberto aka Rich, we began the path of that journey together. He is/was the originator for the acronym for Life Line... Living Is For Ever Learning Is Never Ending catch phrase. Ever since I’ve heard it, it holds so much truth. Along that path him and I have gone through the many up and downs that businesses have and that comes with the territory. Fast forward to April 2013 Rich lost his life in a car accident. When I first received the kiva loan for $2500, I was a little disappointed but I made due of it and paid it back. Campaigning for the second loan for $10,000, I failed to reach that amount only to get down graded to $6000. I was grateful but still a little disappointed I didn’t reach that $10,000 mark. I paid it off, which brings me to this point. Going for my 3rd Kiva loan I am honored to have had the opportunity looking back from the first loan. Failure and disappointment happens in life but the drive and passion for me is knowing I’m not doing this for just me. So, every time I hit that bump in the road I hear Rich infamous words for LIFE LINE. And I can smile look up and continue to move forward towards completing the journey we started. So although Rich is not here in the physical he is still here in spirit helping in “Bringing Fashion Back 2 LIFE. That is why this 3rd loan campaign is special to me.
