but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy merchandise to sell.

Lluvia De Bendiciones Group's story

Esther, a 28 year-old married woman with two children aged 5 and 3, has only an 8th grade education. In spite of this, she has an excellent track record with her business selling consumer products through a catalog, including children's clothing and lingerie. Her husband has a business selling shoes. With their combined incomes, they have been able to send their oldest child to school.

Esther is requesting her first Kiva loan so that she can buy a variety of products to meet the demands of her customers. She wants to take advantage of the strong sales season that is approaching at the end of the year.

Esther is a member of the communal bank "Lluvia de Bendiciones," along with 7 other women from the department and state of Sacatepéquez. These women are enthusiastic about getting their first Kiva loan, which they will invest in their small businesses such as: firewood sales, textiles sales, lingerie sales, and the sale of other products through catalogs.

The members of this group anxiously await their monthly meeting so that they can participate in educational training programs that are part of the program of loans, education, and health services provided by "Microcrédito Plus." These women are empowered by the information they receive in 4 important areas: health, family, women, and business administration.

This has been a difficult time for Esther and her group members, as it has been for so many people around the world. Thank you Kiva lenders, for your kindness in funding these essential loans!
