A loan helped to buy sheep for resale in order to meet their needs.

Jekafo Group's story

Mariam is the lady holding the ram in her hand in the photo. She is Malian, 43 years old, married and mother of 2 children. The children are between 13 and 15 years old. Mariam is uneducated; she has bred sheep for over 7 years. Because of COVID-19, she is the only one in the photo.
Her husband is a farmer and supports her a lot in this business.
Mariam takes the loan from RMCR to buy rams, rear them, and then sell them. She makes her purchases in the surrounding fairs and makes her sales in these same fairs. After the sale, the profit she receives will allow her to meet the various expenses of her children and those of her family: health costs, school fees, clothing and a good diet. In this period of Covid-19, Mariam is worried about the consequences caused by the pandemic and is committed to respecting the barrier measures. Mariam does not have any other difficulty other than the death of animals but she is taking initiatives to overcome this situation.
In the future Mariam hopes to have more funds and to have a lot of profit for the well-being of her children.
