Faida Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy fabric and yarn to sew baby bed sheets to sell, which will boost her initial capital.

Faida Group's story

Tirla is a customer of the IMF Hekima and head of the village group FAIDA. She is a 45-year-old widow and mother of three children; one attends school and two have finished. Her partner is out of work.

Tirla sells used clothing, a business she started 15 years ago with funds contributed by her husband. Later, she became involved with the Hekima program to support her business and it has grown steadily ever since.

With this new loan, Tirla is going to buy fabric and yarn to sew baby bed sheets to sell, which will boost her initial capital. The challenges in her business are related to the rise in the dollar exchange rate and police harassment.

She would like to grow her business and diversify her activities. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to unbankable business owners in this context of Covid-19-related global crisis.
