Sabougnouma Group's story

Mamou is the lady who is there in the photo leading the sheep. She is a 49-year-old married Malian mother of 4 children, aged 4 to 25 years old. Mamou has raised sheep for several years. She has not been to school, but she gets by very well at managing her business. Mamou’s husband breeds and fattens sheep, and supports her a lot in her business of raising sheep.

Today, Mamou would like to develop her business with the financing of an RMCR loan. She is taking the RMCR loans to buy sheep to raise and resell. She purchases from area fairs and makes her sales at the same fairs. After sale, she is expecting the profits to help provide for the different expenses of her family: health costs, education, clothing, and enough food.

In this era of COVID-19, Mamou is worried about the consequences of this pandemic and hopes that it is over quickly. She has not had any difficulty except the death of animals, but she would like to put aside some of her income to overcome this situation.

In the future, Mamou hopes to have a lot of money and profit for the well-being of her children.
