Salama Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to get 40 bags of charcoal and strengthen her initial capital.

Salama Group's story

Madame Jeanine is a customer of Hekima IMF and leads the village group SALAMA. She is a 49-year-old, married mother of 8 children who are all in school. Her partner is out of work.

She sells charcoal at a depot. She began this business in 1998 with seed funds received from her husband. Later, she became involved in the Hekima program for support which has helped her to gradually grow the business. With this new loan, she is going to get 40 bags of charcoal to strengthen her initial capital. The challenge to her business is the impassability of the road during the dry season.

She would like her children to continue their studies. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and their partners for the support afforded to non-bankable businesses during the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo is only the leader of the group to respect social distancing measures because of COVID-19.
