A loan helped to buy chickens to fatten, rice, grains, and banana leaves to make tamales and stuffed potatoes.

Luz Enid's story

Hardworking and humble: this is what Luz is like. She is an enterprising person who lives in the municipality of Espinal, where she makes a living with her business making and selling food and traditional dishes. Espinal is known for the making of traditional instruments, and its gastronomy is famous because of the tamales and the suckling pick, which are traditional dishes in the region.

Luz is 50 years old and is married. She has decided to improve her business and increase her sales, and for this reason she is applying for a loan to buy chickens to fatten, rice, grains, and banana leaves to make tamales and stuffed potatoes.

This loan will allow her to help her business get ahead and to get the income she needs to have the opportunity to continue sustaining herself.
