Shekina Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 50 bags of cement, nails, and reinforcing bars to strengthen their starting capital.

Shekina Group's story

Marceline is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and is the president of the village group "Shekina". She is 44 years old, married and has seven children. Four of them still go to school and three are adults. Her husband is a trader.

Marceline sells hardware products. She started this activity four years ago with starting funds received from her husband. She later joined the Hekima program to support her business, and it grew progressively. With this loan, she is going to buy 50 bags of cement, nails, and reinforcing bars, which will strengthen her starting capital. The challenge of her occupation is due to the lack of customers.

She would like to keep her children in school and to be able to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to non bankable business owners in the global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo only shows the group leader due to social distancing measures.
