Oscar's story

Oscar is a modest and hardworking 40-year-old man who has an amazing skill in furniture making. He lives in Lospalos municipality with his family. It is one of the most financially excluded cities in East Timor.

He has a carpentry business that he started with his own working capital and the business has been running for many years now. Oscar enjoys running the carpentry business because it allows him to be independent and provide a better and healthy life for his family.

He is requesting a $1,500 loan through KIF to help him buy some timber, glue, nails, and some new carpentry machinery to make more furniture to sell so that he could generate income for his family.

Oscar hopes to run a bigger business in the future as the result of the investment and wants to thank all lenders for the opportunity.
