Ebony's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped me to purchase a vehicle to expand my business.
My name is Ebony Lunsford-Evans. I am a wife, mother of three, educator and grower. I love growing everything of seed, from food to flowers to people. Growing food became my full time work after teaching myself and children how to, a little over five years ago. It all started in my back yard, where I turned it into a mini farm and outside classroom, for my children and other youth in the community. That year we ended up growing over thirty different vegetables, fruit and herbs. We held a small farmer's market at the end of the season and even started a small bank. I eventually started a nonprofit, to give away thriving skills to youth, adults and senior citizens, in our community. During these days, I became known as Farmer Girl Eb. As Farmer Girl Eb, I have grown to be able to provide fresh produce to people in my community as well as businesses and organizations. THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE! I have established Farmer Girl Eb LLC to provide access to fresh produce and agricultural education in the community. I am motivated to help people stay healthy. I believe that every community should have access to fresh produce on a daily basis to help provide food security, especially in food deserts.
