Mufariji Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on women's and children's shoes, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Mufariji Group's story

Antoinette is a customer of the Hekima MFI and leader of the village group "Mufariji". She is married, 62 years old, and the mother of six children, one of whom is in school; her partner is unemployed.

She is a shoe seller, having begun this work 10 years ago with start-up funds received from the Hekima programme to support her business; over the course of this she has progressively developed.

With this new loan, she will get supplies of women's and children's shoes, which will build on her initial capital. There are no problems in her work. She would like her child to continue studying.

Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and partners for their support of non-bankable business owners in this context of the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19, in line with social distancing measures.
