Alpha Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a bale of second-hand clothes, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Alpha Group's story

Madam Mwavita is a client of Hekima MFI and presides over the village group “Alpha”. She is 48 years old, married and has 9 children, 8 of whom go to school and one who is younger. Her partner is a carpenter, and she sells second-hand clothes.

She started this business 20 years ago with start-up capital received from her husband. She later involved the Hekima programme to support her business, during which it gradually evolved. With this new loan, she is going to buy a bale of second-hand clothes, which will strengthen her initial capital. Her business faces some challenges linked to state taxes.

She would like her children to continue studying and, lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to owners of businesses that cannot be exchanged for cash in this global COVID-19 crisis. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19 in compliance with social distancing measures.
