Jean Fidèle's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped this borrower to buy the necessary inputs to farm potatoes.

Jean Fidèle's story

Jean Fidèle is 54 years old. He is separated with two dependent children. They live in a rural village.

Jean Fidèle is a crop and livestock farmer. He does all he can to ensure his children's well-being. He takes out loans through Vahatra to bolster his capital. Since joining the MFI, he has been able to expand his activities, to increase his income and to better provide for his children's needs.

He used the previous loan to rear pigs. His earnings allowed him to pay medical expenses for one of his children.

He will use this next loan to buy 50 kg of chemical fertilizers, two cartloads of manure and some crop-protection products, and to pay for the labour needed to grow potatoes.

He plans to buy a cow.
