Kallill Jair's story

Kallill Jair is a 35-year-old micro-businessman who lives in the municipality of Galapa. He has a business making wood products, items made of cork, and doing basketry and plaiting. Kallill Jair is an enterprising man. His father always worked with artisan crafts, and since he was a child, he has had a passion for this art. He started making masks 5 years ago and when his talent stood out, he was able to start his own business. Today he is a mask supplier during carnival, and for several display cases with artisan products in commercial centers of Atlántico. His customers are individuals, people who find him on social media, people who are from the area and referrals.

Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, his work decreased because of public health reasons. His cash flow went down drastically. That is why he joined the Programa Atlántico Responde to ask for his first Kiva loan with the Fundación Santo Domingo to buy supplies like wood, rubber, paint, and overstitch sewing machine and sand paper. Support him in his business loan.
