A loan helped to buy livestock for resale to support his family.

Sabugnuman Group's story

Lamine is Malian. He is the gentleman holding the steer with his hand in the photo. He is 50 and married with five children. His children are aged between four and 25. Lamine did not go to school. He has been raising livestock for several years already. His wife, who is a housewife, gives him a lot of help with his activity.

Today he wants to develop this activity with a loan from RMCR. He uses the loan to buy steers, he raises them and then he resells them. He buys his stock at the local fairs and makes his sales at the same fairs. After sales, the profit he makes will enable him to provide for the various family expenses: healthcare, school fees, clothing for the children. Lamine hopes that covid-19 will come to an end soon and that everything will return to normal respecting the measures of protection. The problem that he meets frequently is that of animals dying, but he is getting organized to overcome this phenomenon. In the future, Lamine hopes to have more funds and to become financially independent to better prepare his children's future.
