Wema Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on rice, flour, oil, sugar, and juice, which will reinforce her starting capital.

Wema Group's story

Mrs. Suzana is an IMF Hekima client who presides over the group villageois “WEMA.” She is a 41-year-old married mother of nine, all of whom are responsible. Her partner is a street vendor. She sells diverse foods, a business she started in 1998 with funds from her husband. Later, she incorporated the Hekima program to support her business, which overtime has grown progressively. With this new loan, she is going to stock up on rice, flour, oil, sugar, and juice, which will reinforce her starting capital. The challenge in her business is linked to the lack of clientele. She would like to buy some land, as she is a renter. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to business owners who are unmonetizable in this context of a global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19 out of respect of social distancing measures.
