A loan helped to buy farming inputs, which she plans to use to improve production and make more income for her family.

Innocent's story

Innocent (pictured inside her shop), is a mother of one child who has a powerful mindset. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer living in Chuka, a remote area located on a gentle plain before the ascent into the central highlands of Kenya. Innocent has farmed for the past 13 years.

The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat on the economy of Kenya, causing a lot of uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is one the front line in combating this pandemic through supporting smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs at this difficult period.

Innocent is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs, which she plans to use to improve production and make more income for her family.

Be inspired to support her with a loan this last quarter of 2020.
