Sonia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase pigs and concentrated feed for them, so to increase the inventory of her pig farm.

Sonia's story

Sonia lives with her spouse and her 4 children, ages 15, 12, 8 and 4. She says that she does not have relatives who live abroad.

Sonia has a business which consists of raising and selling pigs. In addition, she makes tamales to sell. She opened the business 2 years ago. She learned to do these activities with the help of her mother-in-law. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, she sells tamales while, for the pig business, she says that she purchases the piglets and fattens them to later sell them.

She is asking for a loan to strengthen her business. The investment will consist of the purchase of pigs and concentrated feed for them, so to increase the inventory of her pig farm. She expects that the investment will help her increase her income and, with that, to sustain her household.

Her dream is to continue working to grow her business and she also wants to have better financial conditions to renovate the infrastructure of her house.
