A loan helped to build a safe latrine at home.

Lot's story

Lot, age 40, is married and has three children who're attending school. She lives with her family in the area of Samraong District, Takeo Province. She earns a living by selling food at her home. Everyday, she gets up early in the morning to purchase ingredients for preparing cooking items to sell, such as meat, vegetables, fish, groceries, produce and other necessity things. Her husband works as a construction worker in the community with a team to earn additional income, providing this service to customers. She works at construction sites and will perform physical tasks, such as cleaning, removing debris, loading and unloading materials, assembling and disassembling temporary structures, digging trenches, compacting earth, reading and following construction plans and blueprints and assisting skilled craftspeople with their duties. The job of a laborer varies, changing from day to day.

Currently, her house doesn't have a safe latrine and can not provide sanitation to her family members. As of now, she is requesting a loan to build a safe latrine at home. In this way, she hopes to increase the value of her home, improve sanitation, ensuring healthy living conditions to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment. With this loan support, she is able to purchase construction supplies, such as bricks and cement, to build a safe latrine and pay for labor costs. She sends thanks to all of the lenders for contributing their funds to help a poor woman like her.
