La Esperanza Group's story

This communal bank is in its 15th loan cycle in the Program of Women's Committees. All of the members are fighting for a better quality of life. They joined the group so that they could improve, grow, and get ahead.

One of the members of this group is Mirian, who has a business selling clothing. She is a hardworking person who is striving for a better quality of life for her loved ones, so that they don't have to experience the hardships that she did. Mirian mentions that because of the Covid-19 pandemic, her work was affected because she was not able to work as she usually does. This affected her income, but in spite of these difficulties, she is seeking a way to overcome and get ahead.

Mirian is requesting this loan to buy a variety of garments to sell, including t-shirts, blouses, shorts, pants, shirts, and other items. This way, she can invest in her business and raise it back up again.

Note: in the photo you see only one person, but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo due to the need to avoid putting people in close proximity because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
