Rosa Antonia's story

Rosa Antonia and her family live in Portoviejo, a city hit by an earthquake on April 16, 2016, and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. It is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits for national consumption.

Rosa has a small variety store in her house where she sells a large variety of items, such as notebooks, pens and pencils. She also sells products from Avon catalogs, including beauty products, cosmetics, perfume and women's accessories. In addition, she has a sewing studio her customers come to, where she makes clothing items mainly for women and girls. She sews based on orders from individuals.

At the beginning the health crisis was very bad for Rosa as she couldn't sell. However, now she is reactivating her business little by little in order to continue generating income. This loan is to buy school supplies. Rosa's dream is to have a bigger variety store, and that her family have very good health.
