A loan helped to buy products for her store, and ingredients to make ice cream to sell.

Jacinta Narcisa's story

Jacinta Narcisa lives with her family in Portoviejo, a city that was affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now is impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. This city is rich in the production of tropical fruits and vegetables for domestic consumption.

Jacinta Narcisa has a small grocery store in her house where she sells a variety of consumer products such as water, soft drinks, ice, popsicles, and ice cream that she makes in a variety of flavors. She works every day, and takes advantage of the fact that there is a nearby sports field where many people come to play sports.

At first, the health crisis was very bad for her, because she was not able to sell. But now, she is gradually reactivating her business so that she can continue to generate income. Jacinta Narcisa will use this loan to buy products to stock her store, and ingredients to make the ice cream. She dreams that her family will remain healthy and that her business will continue to grow.
