Srun's story

Srun, age 59, is married and has four children who are attending school. She lives with her family in the area of Angkor Borei district, Takeo province.

Srun and her husband help each other in the agriculture business where they own and manage a few hectares of farmland growing and harvesting rice crops and agriculture produce seasonally. Srun has the responsibility of her agriculture business such as driving and operating rice-farm machinery to prepare land, till soil, build ditches and levees, and harvest rice crops. She hitches farm implements to the tractor and drives it along existing swaths and contours of rice fields to plow and level fields and build or shore up ditches and levees of flood-irrigation system.

At the moment, Srun's house is under construction and she needs more materials to have it finished. Due to a shortage of money, she is asking for a loan for construction supplies to renovate her old home. She hopes that, through the help of the loan, she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions. She will have enough funds to purchase construction supplies such as bricks, cement, zinc and other necessities and pay for labor costs.
