Mujeres Unidas Group's story

This group includes 23 women who work to be able to improve themselves and to get ahead. All of them have as a goal to be able to offer a better future to their loved ones, so that they will not suffer deprivations. Despite difficulties, they do not let themselves be defeated, and give the best of themselves to be able to better themselves.

One of them is Wilma, who is a very hardworking and lively person. She has a food stall where she works every day, starting early in the morning. She says that her work has helped her to be able to offer better living conditions to her loved ones, so that they do not have to go without. She notes that, given the Covid-19 pandemic, her business was affected and she could not work normally. This affected her income, but despite that, she seeks the means to continue improving and getting her business back, to continue with her work.

Wilma seeks to invest capital in her business and with this, to lift it back up. She wants to buy vegetables, meat, baked goods, and other products to use in her food stall.

Note: Although there is only one person in the photo, this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo, to avoid gathering people during the Covid-19 pandemic.
