01_Touba Ndella Group's story

This group, composed of thirteen women, is part of the 'banc villageois' inaugurated in February 2002. The women lives in the same village and share solid values of kinship, friendship, and solidarity. And they are good, honest, and energetic. They have paid back several loans successfully. Their main work is in commerce.

Ms. Ndéye Maï, aged 58, is the group's representative appearing at the right in the photo with a hand raised. She is the married mother of seven, including three sons. She runs a small-scale groceries business buying wholesale from suppliers to resell at the market in her neighborhood. She has several years of good experience in this commercial sector.

With her loan, she plans to purchase garlic, black pepper, cashews, … that she will resell at a good margin. Her business is doing well. Her earnings allow her to help cover family expenses (school fees).
