A loan helped to buy a truckload of sugar cane, reinforcing her initial capital.

Tudumu Group's story

Ms. Jeannette is a customer of Hekima IMF and the chair of the Tudumu group villageoise. She is a widow, 52 years old and has 12 children, all of whom are or have been to school. Jeannette sells sugar cane. She launched this business in 1970 with the starting funds received from her biological father. Later on she has joined the Hekima program to take out loans and has been growing it progressively. With her new loan Jeannette will stock up a truckload of sugar cane, reinforcing her working capital.

Her business challenge is connected to the poor condition of the road along which merchandise arrives during the rainy season. She would like to buy a sugar cane field. To conclude, Jeannette would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of entrepreneurs lacking access to funding, at this time of a global crisis related to Covid-19. Only the group leader appears in the photo due to Covid-19.
