Asifiwe Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy caustic soda, sulfate, neutralizer and colorants for making soap, which will strengthen her capital.

Asifiwe Group's story

Mme Josephine is a client of the MFI Hekima and the leader of the village group "Asifiwe." She is 60 years old, married and the mother of six children, four of whom go to school. Two of her children no longer attend school due to a lack of resources. Her partner is a cart driver.

Josephine sells soaps. She launched her business 15 years ago with start-up funds she obtained through her income-generating activities. She later became involved with the Hekima program to support her business, and it has since gradually evolved.

With this new loan, Josephine will buy caustic soda, sulfate, neutralizer and colorants for making soap, which will strengthen her capital. The challenge for her business is related to insufficient capital.

Josephine wishes for her children to continue their studies. She also wants to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to non-bankable business owners, especially during the COVID-19 global crisis.

Due to COVID-19, the photo shows only the group leader.
