A loan helped to buy farm inputs and improve her horticultural business, which has been significantly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Emmy's story

Emmy is a mother of two children living in Eldoret, a town that was significantly affected by the 2007–08 crisis when violence occurred in Kenya. Emmy supports her family through mixed dairy and crop farming, work that she has practiced for the past twenty years. Through farming, she has given her family a solid reputation.

Emmy is seeking this loan to buy farm inputs and improve her horticultural business, which has been significantly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Unlike banks and other local money lenders who operate mainly in urban centers, Juhudi Kilimo (a Kiva field partner) has extended its operations to the most remote areas of Kenya, creating opportunities for different people to access loans. Please support Emmy to keep her dreams of future prosperity alive!
