Yeng's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy construction supplies and pay for labor to renovate her old home.

Yeng's story

Yeng, aged 56, is married and lives with her family in Angkor Borei District, Takeo Province. Her husband is fisherman and works hard at the river. He sometimes has to work during storms, but he does what he must to support his family's needs. His duties include steering vessels, operating navigational instruments, putting fishing equipment into the water, and anchoring or towing equipment according to the fishing method used.

Yeng has been working as farmer for many years. She has been experiencing low yield and decreased profits due to pests and disease, poor mechanization of agricultural activities and product processing and storage challenges.

Due her shortage of money, Yeng is asking for a loan to buy construction supplies, such as brick, cement, zinc, and other necessary items, and pay for labor costs to renovate her old home. She hopes that, through the help of the loan, she can provide everyone in her family with a suitable place to live and comfortable living conditions.

Yeng believes that through her hard work and perseverance she will be able to someday attain a better standard of living.
