Sasol Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Sasol Group's story

Matsukulu is a 38 year old woman who lives in a one bedroom house without access to electricity with three other family members including three children. Matsukulu relies on family support and struggles with buying multiple fuel and incompetent income. She spends the majority of her energy expenses on paraffin and gas, which costs up to LSL 334 per month.

She also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging. Matsukulu and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
