Leslie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a Puerto Rican woman's company to grow its inventory.

Leslie's story

All my life I have been dreaming of creating my own business. And it was not until October 23rd , 2019, after our country went through a historic act where the people made their governor resign, that my pride of being Puerto Rican reached its maximum expression and thus gave birth to my brand. I created the De Aquí logo as one that represents me and “says” where I am from without having to move my lips or open my mouth. I love my island and I am proud to be a part of it. I love escaping within its boundaries, doing internal tourism and motivating the world to visit my “100mix35mi” as we call it . By creating De Aquí, tropical and local clothing, I can unite the mountains and beaches of PR with a single piece of clothing since it is designed for both the beach and the countryside. Also, my brand was created so those Puerto Ricans in the diaspora have a piece that says where they are from even if they live outside their island. I am passionate about creating and serving, being able to create my art, translate it into pieces of clothing and serve as a bridge to places to visit in my country; that is one of the things that most fills me as a person.
