Marie Marthe's story

Marie Marthe is a widow. She is 64 years old and has ten children, all of whom are independent. In spite of her age she is still active. She lives in village in the countryside, in her own house.

Marie Marthe has been raising pigs for a long time. She also sells various vegetables on a regular basis. She joined Vahatra in order to take out loans. This has been beneficial. Marie Marthe has been able to buy two calves with her revenues.

She would like to increase the headcount of pigs she raises. She will fatten them up and then resell to a butcher shop in town. After concluding her sales, she will then buy other pigs afterwards. Marie Marthe is asking for the lenders' support to buy piglets and feed for them. She plans to buy a field of arable land with her revenues.
